About Me

About Me

I graduated from Patrick Henry College with a degree in English Literature in May 2024. In my college years, I was associate editor of two college journals (Aletheia, a classical liberal arts journal; and Westmarch, a literary criticism and creative writing journal). I also interned for Ambassador International Publishing, doing everything from developmental edits to line edits to copyedits to proofreading. I specialize in finding your secret writing strength and using that to draw out the heart of your story.

What I Read

  • Basically any genre for any age group! I read MG, YA, NA, Adult, and (almost) every subgenre within those age groups.
  • Genres I WILL NOT read: Erotica, works with graphic body horror, rom-coms, and books that are exclusively mystery (mystery elements are fine). I simply do not read enough in those genres to do well with your work.
  • If your book has trigger warnings, let me know in your inquiry email. I am happy to work with you if it's something I'm comfortable reading, but I'd like to know up front.
  • My Editorial Wish List:
    • NA Sci-fi
    • High fantasy a la Sanderson, but with dragons
    • Adult dystopia
    • Realistic, compelling relationship drama within a fantasy setting
    • Genuinely evil villains

Testimonials

When I was looking for an editor for my novella, Faith was one of the first people to offer her services. She provided well-rounded and in-depth feedback that showed attention to detail in my story, as well as insight as to how readers might perceive the story. In addition to in-line comments, she provided an overarching summary and wonderfully encouraging words! Highly recommend! -Oceane McAllister, Author of Rose's Wrath

Faith was thorough and skilled in her work, going above and beyond my expectations. She has an excellent eye for both detail and bigger picture mechanics. Her overall approach was so positive and encouraging, and she had a great understanding of my story's heart! -Amy E. Bryant, Aurora Awards Finalist

Faith puts a lot of thought into her comments while reading my manuscript. One thing I can count on is for her to be honest, but polite. She doesn't just point out the flaws, she fangirls over the work. She loves it and sees the heart behind it. Her comments have always helped me see things I never would've seen before. She's very thorough and very efficient. I will always recommend her careful eye for editing projects. ~Brooke Riley, author of the How We Rise trilogy and The Dreams Between Us
