We'll delve deep into the heart of your story with this service. I go over the whole manuscript, leaving lots of comments in the margins about individual moments, showing/telling, and character moments. I will also give you a spreadsheet that delves chapter-by-chapter into the strengths and weaknesses of your plot beats. Finally, you'll get an editorial letter talking about the big picture of each character arc, the story threads, the plot, the setting, and all the story's other elements. Sample edit: 3,000 words for free before you commit.
Line editing: $.003 per word ($3/thousand words)
This is a fine-toothed comb to the writing style, the flow, the structure, the grammar--basically the nuts and bolts of the story itself. This will be the most detailed edit and you'll come back dripping red ink (or track changes marks).
Copy editing: $.002 per word ($2/thousand words)
This is your nitty-gritty detail edit! I'll go through and check spelling, typos, punctuation, and more to make sure that readers don't catch any mistakes at all.
